Three generations of Vinho Verde

A family estate dedicated to the production of excellent quality Vinho Verde, in Gominhães, Guimarães — about 130 km from Vigo.

Vinho Verde is the only wine in the world with this name: it is born in Minho, with granitic soils and an Atlantic climate, and this is what gives it the freshness, lightness and lively acidity that distinguish it.

Here the wine tasting is not at an anonymous counter: it is the family itself, which produces each bottle, showing the winery and telling the story of three generations. Wine tastings are guided in Spanish, as well as Portuguese and English.

Combine the visit with the historic centre of Guimarães — the birthplace of Portugal and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, ten minutes from the estate.

From Galicia to the estate

From Vigo it is about 130 km — an hour and a half by car. From Pontevedra about 150 km, from Ourense about 190 km and from Santiago de Compostela about 210 km. The border in Valença is about 95 km away. Free parking on the property.

Yes. It's about an hour and a half by car each way, and the visit lasts an hour and a half — it fits well in a morning or afternoon.
Do you have accommodation on the estate?
Yes. We have a a country cottage surrounded by vineyards, with a swimming pool, which sleeps up to eight people.
